EpiPen (Epinephrine)

The EpiPen auto-injector is used to treat severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) quickly and safely. To use it, hold the pen firmly in your fist and remove the blue safety cap. Press the orange tip against the outer thigh (through clothing if necessary) and push until you hear a click — hold it in place for about 3 seconds. Remove the pen and massage the injection site for 10 seconds. Always call emergency services after using an EpiPen, even if symptoms improve.
